Abstract of the DisclosureA single-ended recuperative radiant tubeassembly for increasing the efficiency of a combus-tion furnace system by using less fuel input per heatoutput than conventional systems. The single-endedrecuperative radiant tube assembly has inner andouter recuperator tube assemblies positioned in acounterflow arrangement within a radiant tubeassembly. Hot exhaust gases emitted from a burnerwithin the single-ended radiant tube assembly aredirected through a flame tube to an annular exhaustchamber located between the outer recuperator tubeand radiant tube assemblies. Ambient air flowingtowards the burner in an air chamber between theinner and outer recuperator tube assemblies is heatedby the exhaust gases in the annular exhaust chamber.
