The invention discloses a high-voltage starting device of a switching type power supply device, which comprises a high-voltage starting circuit, a metal oxide semiconductor transistor, a voltage regulating unit and a transistor. The current of a power source is input to the metal oxide semiconductor transistor. The voltage regulating unit is connected with the metal oxide semiconductor transistor so that the voltage regulating unit regulates the voltage of the metal oxide semiconductor transistor. The transistor is connected to the gate electrode of the metal oxide semiconductor transistor. When the gate electrode of the metal oxide semiconductor transistor is conducted, a charging current flows through the metal oxide semiconductor transistor and a diode and is used for charging a capacitor. When the capacitor is charged to a preset voltage, the transistor is controlled to be conducted so as to switch off the metal oxide semiconductor transistor and cut off the charging current.
